hi,

does anybody know how to convert a nurbs-explosion into a polygon-explosion? i want to create a wall. a part of this wall is exploding. after the explosion water should break out of this cracked part of the wall. this water-effect i want to do in next limit's real flow. but real flow only accept polygons (triangulate). therefore i need to know how to convert nurbs-explosions into polygon-explosions. i also saw the videotutorials of Miguel Salek von CGWizardry. awesome stuff but there is regrettably no part which shows how to convert nurbs-explosions into polygon-explosion. the regular way: MAYA > Modify > Convert > Nurbs to Polygons doesn't work.

Does anybody know how to handle this?

thank you very much Wink
bye

i don't know why you are trying to convert nurbs to polys. why not just take the damage geometry and the debris and triangulate them before exporting to realflow? it works just fine for me Smile
